Safety Protocols
To ensure the safety of all students:
– First and foremost, students will be asked to self-monitor if they have COVID symptoms before entering. This includes any travel abroad past 14 days or have been in contact with anyone showing symptoms. Here is a link for your reference with up to date information,https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/symptoms.html
– Temperature screening checks will become mandatory with a forehead thermometer. Provided a temperature below 37.5C to be allowed to enter.
-Masks or facial covering will be mandatory as a layer of safety for all students.
– Hand Sanitizer will be provided before and after every class.
-Each student will be asked to place their belongings in a provided bin that will be sanitized after every use. This will ensure that any items will be contained and not touch other students’ belongings. (coat hangers will no longer be used during this time)
-The floor will be marked with X’s to ensure that social distancing is maintained while the lesson is being delivered.
-The window will remain opened during all lessons. The landlord has provided me with assurances that the ventilation system has had the HVAC filter replaced. I will also be including an air purifier that meets HEPA standards in the studio.
-There will be no sharing of equipment. (this includes ie. Balls, Scarfs, Rhythm Sticks etc.) Any and all equipment that comes in contact with a student will be sanitized.
– All class sizes have been reduced to 6 with a maximum of 8 in order to have ample social distancing.
